This is where I will be depositing general files and things that do not really fit anywhere. It's really more of a clearing house of All-Things-Sam (yuck, that's a gruesome picture).

  • Tux Typing : An educational typing tutor game for Linux starring Tux, the Linux Penguin. I am the manager and lead developer of this project.
  • Nodin Grand : A little free-software gaming project I am managing which will result in a multiplayer, networkable game. The game is an original concept by myself and my wife, and I hope it is unlike anything else out there.
  • Noink : A dynamic web-content server application. It powers most of the Geekcomix website, including my homepage.
  • noNews : The first of several planned extensions to Noink. This one adds more robust news/forum features.
  • Black Hole Simulations : A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, I studied earnestly to be a Physicist. I wasn't really cut out for it, but I did do some fancy computational simulations in my time. These black hole ones weren't some of them.

Essays & Rants

  • A Brief History of Home Video Games : I am a rabid video game fan. Here is an attempt at a critical look at video game history and industry. It was complete when I first wrote it, however now there have been a few more generations of video game consoles and it is a bit outdated.
