Shortly after high school (and before "DISCO-NAUT"'s birth) the second World War broke out, and "DISCO-NAUT" was called to arms by his Uncle (not
Uncle Bobo, but Uncle Sam).
The United States armed forces had a difficult time placing "DISCO-NAUT" with his unique talents. He was bounced around from army... to navy...
to air force... back to the army... back to the navy... spent a week in the marines... went back to the air force, where his commanding officer promptly sent
him back to the navy...
Eventually "DISCO-NAUT" wound up in a "particular" regiment of the United States army. It was a regiment with a "difference"... It was the 181st Poofy Battalion under Colonel James "Whoopsy" Turnip.
Colonel "Whoopsy" Turnip was a
stern and rough military leader with a slight inclination towards woodland creatures such as wombats and aardvarks (though no one would dare tell him to his face
that these weren't necessarily woodland creatures.)
While in the 181st Poofy Battalion, "DISCO-NAUT" found his love of death, mayhem, destruction, and wearing nylon stockings. It was because of a chance
encounter in a Tavern in Worchestire, and the nylon stockings he was wearing, that he would find his next calling... A calling which would
dominate and drive his existence after the war and for the rest of his life....
